Audio Boo or Cinch Cast? You be the Judge. Check out the recordings.

Dear Readers:

After two days of posting information on Audio Boo, Cinch Cast and Audacity to accentuate your blog posts. I have received several questions regarding Audio Boo and Cinch Cast. I would like to address these FAQs on this blog post.

Thank You Donna Ashton and Iyabo Asani for posting your questions.

Q-Donna Ashton from The Waldorf connection asks “Do You Like Cinch Cast better than Audio Boo?”

A-Both Audio Boo and Cinch Cast are easy to use, quick to make a recording and post on one’s blog post or send recording to all your social networks. Audio Boo has a time limit of 5 minutes whereas there is no time limit on Cinch Cast. I would probably use them interchangeably. If am doing a 7 minute recording, I would go for Cinch cast. Hope that answers your question Donna. Thank you for your participation. Best Wishes on incorporating your audio podcasts into you blog posts.

Q-Iyabo Asani from Coach Iyabo  “Have you used Audio Boo and What is the difference?”

A-Iyabo- Yes, I have used both and there is literally no difference. I would advise that you try both and see which one resonnates with you. Again if you need to record more than 5 minutes, then go for Cinch Cast. All the Best on your Audio podcasting endeavors.

Inquiring minds like to know which is better Audio Boo or Cinch Cast? I like both of these methods of Audio Podcasting. They are both simple to use. You can record over and over until you are comfortable with the final cut. So here is what I am going to do. Put these two services through the audio test. At the bottom, you decide which of these recordings sound better based on clarity, if there is any static or if you notice any difference. Let me know what is your preference? So, when it comes to Audio Podcasts which one would you use Audio Boo or Cinch Cast?  Enjoy.

  1. Very helpful info, thank you!

Both of the recordings play clearly for me, no static that I noticed.

I like the CinchCast purple button though. :)

Glad the information was helpful and that both recording were clear with no static. The purple button is a nice color.

I tried both of them Jane and I love the look and colors of cinchcast but it did not allow my MAC to access the microphone.

With my audio boos, I prerecord snippets and I upload the lesson of the day. It does not appear that I can do that with cinchcast.

Also, audio boo creates an embed code so I can post the audio boo on my website. I do not see where I can do that on cinchcast.

    Thanks for the introduction though!

    Iyabo-

Thank you for sharing your experience with both Audio Boo and Cinch Cast.
I use a PC and do no have a MAC. Wonder if you need an external microphone. I have to use an external one for my PC that is why I got the headset/mic.

Good to hear that with Audio Boo you can prerecord snippets and upload lessons of the day. You are more advance than I am with using the Audio Boo system.

Regarding embed codes on Cinch Cast. Go to my page under the tab that says All Cinches if you mouse over your photograph-Download, Link and Embed will appear. Click on embed and a box opens up with an embed code for you to copy and download to blog/website. You can also copy and paste embed codes from your network to share with others. Hope this helps.

  3. Great idea to do a comparison, Jane! I like the way you think. :-)

There was NO static coming through on my end with either one. However, I really had to “crank up” the volume to hear your Audio Boo recording and I didn’t need to adjust anything in order to hear you nicely on Cinch Cast.

Since I don’t use a microphone, I’m curious to try recording by “phone” like I do on Audio Acrobat and see if the quality is just as good.

Thanks for continuing the conversation about podcasting on your blog!

Questions from readers came up and what better way than do a audio comparison. Good to hear that there is no static. Did both recordings via desktop computer.

  4. I was wondering about the difference in volume as well. I am going to test cinch because in using Audio Boo, I am getting glitchy noises; HOWEVER, I am on a laptop that is connecting wirelessly and that may be the reason for the skipping (is what it sounds like). I am going to try cinch and see if there’s a difference. I feel between a rock and hard place right now because there’s no desktop to use that isn’t surrounded by noise and activity…visiting, relatives, holidays, children, etc. :-(

  6. Hello JaneLee. Thank you for this valuable comparrison. Helpful to get your audio and written feedback. I am just listening to the two and for me (on my HP PC) the audioboo was staticfree but the sound was quite low. Without changing the volume on my computer I played the CinchCast and it was significantly more crisp and clear sounding.
