Be in the Blog Spotlight

Hello Everyone:

Learning to let go of our blogs and putting  it out there is the hardest thing to to. I realize it is our baby and the fear of what people might think when they read our blog post. Will they like us and will they come back for more! What do you do when no one notices you or even visit your blog? Such a sad shame. Then you start to internalize and get feelings of “What’s wrong with the picture? Nobody loves me! The reality is once your blog is out. You got to be visible! How do people know you or even find out about you?

How to Get More Visibility

Guest Blogging

Be a guest blogger- That is writing a blog post for someone else’s blog. This will not only get one noticed and provide more visibility. When readers from the other blog sees your post and wants to know more about your services/product they will visit your site. There is also a little bio that is printed at the bottom. How cool is that! You are being marketed!

Here is an example: Yvonne A. Jones   from Maintain a Success Circle in Direct Sales & Relationship Marketing (click on Yvonne’s name to get to her actual site for more info) asked me to be a guest blogger for her weekly “Monday Writer” series on her blog.

This is what the guest blog post looked like 4 Reasons Why Customer Service is Critical to the Growth of your Business

Comments

Why bother commenting? Yes, I admit in the beginning I was shy and did not want to write the first comment because other people may judge me. It’s nothing serious. The reason why you comment on other blogs is that you send a message to the blogger that they wrote valuable content or not and if it made a difference of some kind or impact. Commenting is a good thing. Restaurants always want you us fill out their comment cards to let them know what the experience was like and how they can continue to provide great service. We learn things from one another. Since I love using WordPress, there are so many new materials that comes on board. The blog posts that I frequent will provide updates that I am not aware of. So I give them credit and Thank them. What happens then? Magic!

A) The blogger just noticed that their blog post was a resource and helped someone that makes them feel good
B) This blogger will probably want to check you out and find out more about who you are and what you are all about
C) The readers who frequent her/his blog will notice your comment and will want to check you out as well

Just feel the love! It’s all about reciprocating people.

Tweet This, FaceBook, Share this and Digg that people

Do not forget to have a tweetme, facebook share, Share this and Digg buttons on your blog. These are plugins that you can upload to your wordpress site. Why are these buttons important? Do I really need one? Social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Linked In can provide visibility and exposure to your blog. When readers visit your blog and find your information valuable then they want to share it with their friends and others who needs to see your stuff. What better way to get noticed and more visibility then getting syndicated all over Twitter and Facebook. No fun tweeting your own blog articles. Having others tweet and retweet your material makes you more of an expert.

Blog Challenges

Evaluate if a blog challenge is right for you first. It is a chunk of time that you have to committ to. How is it going to be received with your readers? If you do not have a lot of traffic visiting your site or you want to challenge yourself to blog on a consistant basis then participating in a blog challenge is right for you. Being in a blog challenge has it’s rewards.

A) Meet other bloggers and like minded people
B) Other blogger will tweet and comment on your blog post
C) Get customer and new clients

Also you can join the Continuity Blogging Community on Facebook, and continue to post your blog post and get more readers and connect with other bloggers

This was a fun blog post. I have so many more tips, but these are the core ones to get you started. If you want more blogging information. Fill in the opt-in box on the upper right hand corner and I will send the latest buzz on what happening in the blogging world.

Anyone Can Learn How To Hit a Baseball

Guest Post by Jeff Wise

Nothing goes better with summer than baseball, especially when one of the players is a relative or friend. Whether Little Leaguers or high schoolers, it’s fun to watch your son, grandson, etc. eagerly swing at the ball and run the bases. It makes you proud to see the excitement in his eyes as he anticipates fly balls in the outfield. The best feeling of all is knowing he’s having fun.

Sometimes, though, kids don’t have much fun playing baseball. They struggle in one area or another, causing them to dread games or want to quit the team altogether. There may come a time when they claim they don’t like baseball anymore. But there’s more to it than that. It’s not that they dislike baseball; they just dislike their failure to be the great player they long to be.

As a parent, grandparent, aunt, etc. you have a lot on influence on a child in this situation. Verbal encouragement goes a long way with kids. If they know you believe in them, they’re more likely to believe in themselves. Of course, you don’t want a child to be miserable playing baseball, but don’t give in to their first desires to quit. Remind them that skill develops with practice and committing to something builds integrity and character.

Your contribution to their success doesn’t end verbally though. Coaches aren’t the only adults who can help kids become better players. In fact, coaches are challenged in this area because they don’t get a lot of one-on-one time with players. Those who know the child personally have the advantage.

Be willing to set aside time to get your hands dirty and practice with the child. Teach him the basics to hitting a baseball. Practice playing catch with him. You may not know much about the basics of baseball, but that shouldn’t stop you.

You can learn and then teach kids the fundamentals of hitting a baseball.  They need to know their potential and that you’re behind them 100 percent.

Learning to hit a baseball can be frustrating at times. If the child starts getting irritated, offer to take a break and reinforce the improvement you’ve seen.  Always remind them that baseball should be fun for everyone.

What are the Keys to Success?

Hello Everyone:

How does one evaluate success? Is success measured by how much money one makes or is it measured by what one has done by serving their community or is it raising healthy, intelligent and upstanding children. When was the last time you acknowledged yourself for all the great accomplishments and strides that you have taken on this magical journey of your so called life?

Inquiring minds like to know. What are the keys to success? Two days ago I wrote a blog post titled “Are You Following Too Many Gurus? It’s Time to Take Action”. Sometimes we feel that we are not ready to share our gift with others until someone says YOU ARE READY or is given permission by others. Bottom line is if you are not out there, who is going to know about all your gifts, talents, and capabilities that the divine has given you. How are you going to share this gift with others. Here are the 7 Keys to Success.

1) Take Action Every Day to get Closer to your Goal/Dream-  This is a crucial factor. Are you going to step in fully and play the game? It’s no use sitting on the sidelines and waiting for someone to hand things over to you. Maybe if you were born into a wealthy family or an heir to the throne. Remember you are in charge of your own life and destiny.

2) There are no mistakes- Everything happens for a reason. This is a learning experience. So, when we have one setback or even several, we can always go back to the drawing board and redesign. Next time around, things will get better. Great way to get noticed by others. You are here for a purpose.

3) Being Flexible- Being open to new experiences is key. You never know who you might meet. Many of us are stuck in one mode of thinking or doing things our way. There are so many pathways to get from Point A to Point B. Trying something different is not going to kill you. Like walking five blocks instead of driving. Looking for a different solution to the same problem. This opens one up to more creativity and postive energy flowing.

4) Building a Dream Team- Having positive supportive people in your life is a good thing. Why should we surround ourselves with sad, angry and miserable people because we deserve to have a harsh and miserable life too. You have a choice with whom you associate and spend your precious time with. Build your dream team by including mentors, positive individual and groups who want to see you succeed. Stay clear or minimize time from the “Woe Ways Me” or those “surrounded by a dark cloud” or others “who blame everyone for their misery aside from themselves.”. Wonder why they have no friends? Negative people love to have sounding boards where they can dump their negativity. You are zapped and your head starts throbbing. While they say to you “Thanks for listening and you made me feel better.” Does that ring a bell.

5) Are living on purpose and passionately- What is your purpose in life? Do you live for your children? Do you wake up every morning feeling passionate about the difference you are going to make in other people’s lives? Ask yourself. If you are not aligned and living on purpose, then you need to step back and find out what is missing. There must be a happy medium or one is prone to burnout or stagnation.

6) Sharing the wealth/knowledge- In this individualistic and materialistic society, you think by winning the most toys. You win the game. Those who are chasing the mighty dollar will always be chasing for more and will never get enough. What’s next? The reality is when we are dearly departed from this scared earth. What do you want be remembered for?

It’s all about giving and sharing the wealth.  What is your legacy. Did you help build a village? Did you help others grow their business. Did you teach someone how to fish and they taught the masses.

7) Grattitude is Key- What are you grateful for? Is it your family, friends or your health? It’s the littlest things that matters the most in life. People coming in contact and sharing an exchange. The stranger that passes you buy and says you have a beuatiful smile. Life is amazing. Just be open and see the possibilities.

Hope you enjoy this blog post. What are some of your keys to success and share your best practices.

Happy Blogging!
