Success is Failure Turned Inside Out

Success is Failure Turned Inside Out

Have you ever heard about the “Don’t Quit Poem” which was written by an unknown author. This particular line in the poem really resonnated with me. “Success is Failure Turned Inside Out” is so powerful. Wanted to post some inspiration and share this to brighten your day. Don’t ever give up, success is just around the corner when you least expect it. Enjoy.

Don’t Quit Poem

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned
too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Incoporating Animoto Videos on your Blog Posts?

Attached is a recent Animoto video that I put together on the launch of the “12 Steps to Celebrating Succes Progam”. Just wanted to share how easy it is to put a video together.

Are you incorportating videos in your blog post?  When I first started blogging, it was clip art and using personal photographs. I was so conscious about the way I looked on the camera that I did not produce any personal videos for a while. I like to use Animoto. What is so great about this service is that it is so simple to use. Just upload the your own pictures from your computer or pick the ones available on the Animoto site. Pick from their music selection or upload your own music from your computer.

By adding videos, your blog takes a whole new life form of it’s own. Don’t get me wrong. Pictures do say a 1,000 words. But whose counting. It’s as simple as 1,2,3 when using Animoto. Found out about Animoto through Lou Bortone.

Animoto has a free version where you can make an unlimited amount of 30 second videos. There is a paid version that costs only $30 for the whole year and you can make as many full-length videos and as long as you want. For more information click on the Animoto button below or for the link click here

Halloween in New York City

Hello Everyone:

Happy Halloween! What are your plans for Today? Is it taking the kids out for trick-o-treating, attending a costume party or having a haunting party yourself.

Carved out Jack-o-Lantern Pumpkin greating you by the front door and welcoming trick-o-treaters. The neighborhood just comes to life as many of the homes are decorated with paper skeletons and scare crows. Let the fun begin. It’s always such joy to see children in the neignborhood in their latest costume and being anyone they want for the day. From fairy princesses to ghouls and gobling. Not to mention the scary ghosts. It’s the perfect day to watch horror movies which has been on since Friday. Sipping apple cider and eating candy corn.

If you are in NYC,  do not forget to stop by the New York’s Village Halloween Parade. This is one of the nation’s largest Halloween parade. Attended by 2 million people. What I love about the parade are the artistic costumes.

Below is a You Tube Video by Local Big Wig with information on the 38th year of the parade.

Here is the site for more information on tonight’s parade. Enjoy!http://www.halloween-nyc.com/

Who the Heck is Coach Jane Lee?

Hello Everyone:

Here is another tool to accentuate your blog. If you are uncomfortable with posting your own video, then consider this tool from You Tube Search Stories Video Creator. This is a great way to show a video of your website, blog and picture all in one. It is sort of like an introduction with a mini-commercial or preview of your product/service. Another marketing tool to be sent via the social media through Twitter, Facebook, You Tube, etc…

So, Who the heck is Coach Jane Lee? Based on the short story video. I left corporate america to start my own full-time coaching practice. Yes, I love to blog and even formed a Facebook Fan Page called “Continuity Community Community” to connect with other bloggers. As a marketing and sales coach, I empower and teach solo entrepreneurs how to authentically sell.

What is your story? Look forward to seeing your video.

Why I love my Flip Camera!

Hello Everyone:

There have been questions from some of my readers on which tool I used to produce my first live video. Here is the blog post for your review if you have not seen it. It is a welcome message to the members of the “Continuity Blogging Commnuity” a Facebook Fan Page that was created to connect with other bloggers.

July 28 blog post  “3 Lessons Learned from Taping my First Live Video”

So, what camera did I use? Inquiring bloggers want to know.

The camera that I use to tape the online is the Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 Minutes (Black)

The Flip is so easy to use. Just point and click on the red button to record and press the red button to end recording. It’s that simple!

The Flip uses AA battery or you can recharge the battery pack provided.

There is the built in Flip share software that appears after you plug the USB into your laptop or computer. Once you edit the video, make sure you download final edits onto computer so you can share with friends and followers via email, facebook, twitter, you tube and blog.

One thing to remember, the flip has a built in microphone make sure you jack up the volume prior to recording and bring camera close to you so it will capture you voice.

Do you have a Flip camcorder? What has been your experience with making videos using this tool? We love to hear from you.

Why I love New York City; the Big Apple!

Hello Everyone:

How well do you know your city? What we are referring to is the historical landmarks, museums, parks and where the locals hang out in the neighborhood. As a native New Yorker, I am still uncovering so many places in Manhattan as well as the outer boroughs. New York City is comprised of 5 boroughs which one of them is Manhattan. The other four boroughs include the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.  New York City is the most expensive city to live in and it is the city that never sleeps. The Big Apple with all the hustling and bustling. One can find something open 24/7. The city is popluated with the most diverse ethnic groups. You will find every ethnic culture and cuisine here. One subway line (MTA- Metropolitian Transit Authority of NYC) the #7  it’s like the United Nations, every country is represented. NYC is also the financial center of the world with Wall Street. The reality is if you can make it in NYC you can make it anywhere. It’s definitely life on the fast lane represented by the yellow cab that are visible every where you walk or see in NYC.

Most tourists come to NYC to catch a broadway show, go on the circle line, walk around Central Park, go shopping at Herald Square or visit the Empire State Building.  There is so much to do and not enough time in the day to see all the major attractions. That’s why people love coming back to NYC.

Have you considered venturing out of Manhattan and visiting one of the outer boroughs?

Here are some of places to visit;

Brooklyn

Taking a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn Promenade- Breath taking spectacular view of the Manhattan Skyline.

Brooklyn Botanical Garden- Especially around May when all the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom.

Brooklyn Museum- Right next store to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. First Saturday of every month, free entrance to the museum. Lots of great activities to bring your children and family to.

Brooklyn Prospect Park- If you love visiting Central Park. You are going to enjoy Prospect Park.

Queens

Flushing Meadow Park- Shea Stadium and the US open is coming up next month in September.

New York Hall of Science- also found in Flushing Meadow Park.

Bronx

Yankee Stadium

Bronx Zoo

City Island

Staten Island

Staten Island Zoo

Historic Old Richmond Town

Riding the Staten Island Ferry

What are some of your favorite places that you visited while you were in New York City? For those who are making a trip to New York City, what are some of the places you plan to visit.

Video#2 of Members from the Continuity Blogging Community

Hello Everyone:

Present video series number #2 of members from the Continuity Blogging Community. It is so much fun putting this video of members blog up for display. Feels like Sotheby’s Auction House. I recall the time when I worked there at the Jewelry display cases. Just a temporary gig. All those lucious gemstones- Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds and those semi-precious stones too. All those beautiful treasures that mean so much to people. Imagine if those stones were able to speak and tell you their story. What would we find out? Just like your blogs. They are all unique and written by gifted authors to be shared with others.  Enjoy!

Tomorrow, I have something special for all my readers. Don’t forget to stop by. Have a good day.
Happy Blogging.

I have had several questions from bloggers in reference to posting blog links onto the Facebook wall of the “Continuity Blogging Community” fan page. Posted a video with the exact details on how to access the actual blog post and get the URL, copy the link and then paste link onto Facebook wall/pages/groups to share with members as well as friends and family on your profile page. The attached short video provides the actual steps on how to copy and paste URLs and link them on Facebook, Twitter, and sending via Email.

Posting Blog URL link on Facebook
