Using Audio Podcasts to accentuate your blog post, Part II

Audio Podcasts

Welcome Back Everyone!

Yesterday, I wrote about Audio Boo and compiled one. If you missed out look below for that recording. Today, I will share with you on two other types of audio podcasts that you can record, upload and post to your blog or send it to itunes. These services are no cost and are free.

Cinch Cast

I found out about Cinch Cast through listening to Janice Plado Dalager from “Soulmate from within” This is another resource that is simple to use. Here is their website http://www.cinchcast.com/  to register and sign up for their services. You can upload their application on to your iphone, use the computer or even call (646) 200-0000 from any phone to record. After the recording is uploaded, you share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Cinchcast.com, and more. Talk about going viral. So far from my experiences for the past two days, Audio Boo and Cinchcast are the easiest recording platfom to use.

Audacity

Found out about audacity through a blogging course that I registered for earlier this year through Bea Fields Become a Blogging Maniac. Audacity is a software that you download onto your computer. After the recording the message, you can go back to edit segments of the message as well as add music. You must also download Lame MP3 encoder and upload the recorded file via file zilla to your server. Yes, it sounds a little technical, but trust me anyone can do it. I have limited computer skills, cannot write HTML for beans (Do not know what HTML stand for), and not a techie at all. Yes, no iphone or ipad. Just love life’s simplicities. If I can do it, so can you.

It is a little more technical than that of Audio Boo and Cinch Cast where you just record, upload and you are good to go. But what if you want more professional, add music or recordings that last longer, Audacity is free.

As a newbie blogger like myself, I would stick with Audio Boo, Cinch Cast and Audacity for now.

If you have been following my blog, I would love to hear your comments. For this is the only way that I can tell if these articles are helpful with growing your business to the next level. Fill in the opt-in box for more information. Still working on an offer. If you have any suggestions, drop me a line on the materials you would like to receive via email. I do not like to waste people’s time. Time is a very valuable commodity that do not have enough of. If you want a series of videos on blogging, marketing, sales, etc… let me know. My next challenge is doing a video. Tune in tomorrow for my first live video. Have a great day everyone.

    Cool Jane!
I am so glad you choose to share your knowledge about audio recording programs & how they work. Hearing the how-to’s from someone who has already utilized a program is by far easier than trying to decipher all the information on every program.

    Thanks for this,
    Val ;)

  2. Hi Jane!

Thanks for the tip! I have been using a paid service (audiogenerator) and am interested to hear that there is a free one. Do the free ones allow you to save the file to your computer?

Great to hear from you. Thank you for stopping by. Awesome question. Yes, with Cinch Cast you just click download and save the file to your computer after you completed the recording. The same applies to Audio Boo. Hope this helps.

  3. So happy to hear about Cinchcast, Jane! I’ve heard of Audacity before but Cinchcast sounds even easier.

I’m like you – I am NOT a techie-type by any stretch of the imagination. And I don’t plan to be anytime soon, either. :-)

So tools that are simple yet effective and have professional (and fun!) appeal are the ones that I like to implement.

Can’t wait to see your video. I haven’t entered the video world yet so maybe your video will be the swift kick in the butt I need!

I wonder how many others are in the same boat as us like not being techie. There were a couple of questions from my readers and addressed their question on today’s blog. Will post up video on tomorrow’s blog. Have a good day.

  7. Illustrating the use of the podcast has really sold it! I now hear your voice as I read your content, and it’s very personal. I think I’m most inclined to use the cinch option because of it’s simplicity. Very practical and useful. Thank you.

  9. I am also using these two cool recording sites though I don’t really use it for blogging. I have also tried Audacity and its features are pretty cool if you know how to explore the program.

    Hi Emily

Great to hear that you are using th two recording sites. Love Audacity. That’s where all the fun begins with editing the content. There is a learning curve when one is starting out. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be a pro with using Audacity.
