Hello Everyone:
Thoughts have crossed my mind to host my own Blog Talk Radio Show. So far, I have been interviewed by two talk show host last week.
June 16, 2010 Blog Talk Radio Show “Coaching with Crystal” The lovely Crystal Williamson interview with me on blogging and marketing your business.
June 17, 2010 Blog Talk Show “Transforming Women Now” The fabulous Susan Creal interviews me on Sell is not a 4 letter word. All about sales and how to grow your business.
Personally, these were both great experiences and to get a different perspective of what it is like sitting on the hot seat while being interviewed.
Last Friday, I had a phone conversation with Louise Crooks, who hosts her own Blog Talk Radio Show “Keys to Clarity”. Louise has been on the show for over 2 years. Really enjoyed my interview with her for she is inspiring, sincere and gives great sound advice. I wanted to obtain her viewpoint of what it is like hosting a radio show, the benefits and advantages. Also some advice for a novice like myself and others interested in hosting a show on Blog Talk Radio.
Here are the 4 key take aways that I learned from Lousie.
1)Â Growing your public platform skills and increase your credibility as well as visibility in the community. According to Louise, she has was able to present at last year’s International Coaching Federation conference, and speak as an expert coach.
2) Joint ventures and partnership are built and formed.
3) It takes time to grow viewers/listeners and one needs to spend time with marketing the show.
4) Meet other celebrities in your industry and have fun interviewing them.
Hope this blog post provides further insight into hosting an online radio show such as Blog Talk Radio. Please share your comments with us.

Hi Susan-
Glad to hear that you found the information helpful. Still want to see your beautiful face on the gravatar.
Hi Jane!
I’ll keep you posted.
Yes, there are so many reasons why having a radio show is a great idea and a wonderful tool to grow your business. Its a big commitment though, one where consistency and persistence is part of the project. The rewards are tremendous – if one has realistic expectations from the outset. This inspires me even more so to have a program in the Fall, to teach other coaches and conscious business owners to set up their own radio show and know all the secrets of doing so successfully!
