View Details

Hello Everyone:

Get the 911 details on how to jump start and recussitate your blog. When was the last time you gave your blog a tune up? How is the current condition of your blog?  Can you feel a pulse? Is there a doctor in the house?

Here are the latest statistics from technorati on the success rate of newly launched blogs.

“According to a 2008 survey by Technorati, which runs a search engine for blogs, only 7.4 million out of the 133 million blogs the company tracks had been updated in the past 120 days. That translates to 95 percent of blogs being essentially abandoned, left to lie fallow on the Web, where they become public remnants of a dream — or at least an ambition — unfulfilled.”

Shocking results right? Not surprising. It is not easy to keep a blog going day in and day out. Unless, you love the topic/subject matter you are writing with a passion, right? You are probably wondering there must be a better way to keep the love going with your own blog.

Who said that you have to blog all by yourself. There are so many resources out there to help you build a better blog. So here is the inside scoop on how to jumpstart and recussitate your blog.

5 Tips to JumpStart and Revive your blog.

1) Post a blog article on a consistant basis. If you are blogging 3 times a week or 2 times or even once a week keep the momentum going by keeping up with the tempo. If your readers see you blogging on an X basis they expect to see your blog up on that scheduled time frame. If it is difficult for you, take some time and write several blogs and schedule them for the designated time to be released and to be published.  By stressing out, one stops whatever they are doing and just give up. It’s all about simplifying your life.

2) Are you visiting and commenting on people’s blog? By visiting other bloggers and providing comments, you are expanding your visibility and getting noticed out there in the blogosphere.

3) Building blogging relationships by being a guest blogger or by conducting a blog exchange- You are getting advertisement and PR for being in the limelight.

4) Have blog buddies- Teaming up with other bloggers is not only supportive, but also someone that holds you accountable.

5) Share you blog through social media community by tweeting your blog, facebook share and having friends and family send your blog to other readers who can benefit from reading your blog post. Don’t be shy let others see and notice your work.

We like to hear from you. What are some of the techniques that you use to blog consistantly and keep your blog active.

Thank you for the post Jane. I’ve been writing my blog five days per week since April but it’s been difficult to find other blogs in my niche to leave comments on. There are some but they are in direct competition. I’ll keep searching!
