Using Videos to Accentuate Your Blog Post, Part I

Videos

Hello Everyone:

Today’s blog post is about using videos to accentuate your blog. This is a two part series. We are going to have some fun today. Last week we reviewed using various types of audio podcast to accentuate your blog post. This week we will cover how to the use videos to accentuate your blog post.

Below is a video collage/montage that I put together using photographs from a trip to Cambodia. Used Animoto and uploaded pictures and with a click of a button a video was composed. You can select music from their menu or artists or upload your own music from your computer. The video montag are pictures of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat, and picture of the area where the movie “Tomb Raider” was shot which featured Angelina Jolie. Enjoy!

These are the two free services that I am familiar with when it comes to composing video collage.

1) Animoto- The service is free for compiling a 30 second video. Once pictures are uploaded, select a music from their list or upload from your computer. This is so simple and easy to use. Get the embed code and copy to your blog or send it Facebook, Twitter or You Tube.

2) One True Media- This is another service that does collages and montage. There is a free version and a cost version.

Glad you like the photographs. I love to take pictures. The posted video collage/montage is an example to show all the readers that it is not difficult to compose and anyone can do this. Thank you for tweeting and digg this article.

It is apparent that videos get higher ranking on google then written or even photographs posted. People like to know who is the person at the other end of the blogsite, website, etc… Videos make it so personable.
